Spirit & Seam (in progress)

During my 2025 residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, I transformed secondhand garments into wearable artworks that reimagined Black history through myth, ancestral storytelling, and Afrofuturist speculation. Working with recycled textiles as both material and metaphor, the project explored clothing as a vessel for memory, examining how discarded objects can carry, preserve, and reimagine histories across generations.
